10 Web Sites I Visit on a Regular Basis
I spend much of my waking day online. Aside from developing in ColdFusion, I like to keep on top of what’s going on in web design, web development, CSS, search marketing, and SEO. Here are ten sites that I visit that keep me informed.
PopUrls
This site is such a time-saver when I want to check out everything that is currently popular in the social media arena. On single page I can see popular feeds for the following sites: Digg, Del.icio.us, Reddit, Flickr, NewsVine, MetaFilter, TailRank, YouTube, Google News, Yahoo News, Netscape, iFilm, Wired, Slashdot, BoingBoing, Odeo, Fark, Now Public, StumbleUpon, Metacafe, Furl, Clipsmark, Dzone, Videosift, and AOL Video.
Problogger
30,000 feed subscribers can’t be wrong. Darron knows his stuff when it comes to helping bloggers become better bloggers. His posts are always engaging and useful. Periodically, he organizes blogging projects where he asks for readers to submit their posts and he links to them, complete with out a “nofollow” tag. Aside, from the PR love, I receieve a significant bump I Technorati rank with each project I participate in.

Webmaster Radio
Aside from Google, I frequent this site the most during the day. It is the hub for many search related web radio shows and well as a live chat room. During the day, you can most likely find me in the chatroom with the nick “JasonBartholme”. Also, a great place to mingle with some big names in search. You can interact with the hostts and guests while the shows are being broadcasted live. I regularly listen to the following shows live or catch them as a podcast:
Sphinn
This is my newest favorite. It’s a social bookmarking site just for the search industry. A great source for what is currently hot in search. Many of the power players in search are regular contributors, so there is always good reading.

Originally, I thought this was the most ridiculous site. The premise is “What are you doing?” Your friends can post quick messages to tell your friends what you are currently doing. I like it because I can set an API so my blog automatically creates a link to my newest post. Also, I can see what my friends are up to. Feel free to add me as a friend.

I apologize to all the bloggers, forums, and sites that didn’t make the list that I do visit regularly. I wanted to keep the list short and sweet. Who know’s you may be #11.
