Since we changed our clocks for daylight savings time, my Dreamweaver CS3 would crash when I would open a page and click on the code area or design area. There is an alternative to reinstalling your copy of the software.
According to a thread on Adobe’s Dreamweaver Support Forums, the problem has to do with a bug in the time modification and editing functions.
The solution is to delete the WinFileCache.dat file and everything will work as it did before. Here is the fix, and I can confirm it works.
- Closing Dreamweaver
- Set your clock to the correct time if it isn’t already so
- Delete WinFileCache.dat from C:\Documents and Settings\
[Your username]\Application Data\Adobe\Dreamweaver 9\Configuration - Start Dreamweaver and use it as usual
Hope this fix helps!

That explains a lot. I thought you were just using MS Paint for your site images.

Huh, I haven’t had this problem yet. I better knock on my desk now.
My CS2 or version 9 (whatever it was) had lots of issues that were quite irritating.

Dreamweaver Crashes after Daylight Savings Time
This also happened to me last year, but I forgot. It is not widely publiciized… but I guess not everyone participates in daylight savings time.
