Clicky Web Analytics Adds Social Media Reporting

clicky logoA few weeks ago, Clicky Web Analytics adding an exciting feature to their user dashboard. They now include a “Traffic Sources” module which allows you to see a summary of four elements: searches, links, direct / bookmarks, but most of all, social media.

The new Traffic Source Module is easy to add to your existing dashboard. Simply click the “gear” icon, Dashboard, then drag the module from the Disabled column onto the existing modules. Once the module is in place, you can then begin seeing a different angle of where your visitors are coming from.

If you click on the “social media” link in the module, then you will see a summary of all the identified social media traffic. I feel it would be some interesting data if a post or page went to the front page of Digg. The “average time per visit” would be only a few seconds and “average actions per visitor” would be barely over one.

Below the detail of each visitor with time visited, location, IP or named network, number of actions, and referring site, and referring URL. One thing I would like to see on this page is a further drill down to group visitors by social media site. That would make this feature much more powerful.

Clicky currently supports 25 of the major traffic driving social media sites. Here are the sites included in the summary amount.

I have been using Clicky for over a year and am very content with the service. I have the “Professional” level package so I can monitor 10 sites. If you sign up, you get all the premium features free for 21 days. After that, you can still use the service, but some of the key features are turned off. You’ll be impressed with the clean interface and the many different ways to analyze your visitors.

I’ve been using Clicky for some time now, and I think it’s great.

For social media marketeers, this kind of filtering will be invaluable…

This looks like a great analytics package. I find it hard to keep track of all my visibility across social media, video, RSS feeds, etc. You would think that Google would come up with a way to do this but I am happy Clicky is around!
