Job Search USA Connects Seekers and Recruiters

Job Search USA logoI was asked to take a look at the job bank Job Search USA. In the past I have used other job boards, but this one offers some unique features which will win over both job seekers and recruiters.

What is Job Search USA?

Job Search USA is an alternative job search board to overly commercial sites such as Monster, CareerBuilder, and Dice. It is a well-trafficked site that does not have the clutter or bloat of larger sites. They provide a close relationship with recruiters and provide them with more options than typical boards. Job Search USA believes that privacy is important to the potential job candidates. Also, they I searched for ColdFusion jobs in Chicago and to my surprise it yielded 22 positions. Larger sites did not as many. Job Search USA has quite the volume of postings.

Employer/Recruiter Benefits

Currently, employers and recruiters can post positions for free of charge as long as they abide by the site’s terms and conditions. Another advantage is the site is heavily trafficked so, employers and recruiters have the volume of seekers looking for jobs. Recruiters only have to fill out a simple form to begin posting positions.

Job Search USA offers a unique feature to connect recruiters and seekers. Once the seeker fills out their personal information and resume, they will see a check box to send their resume to a local recruiter who is interested in their skills, experience, or education level. The featured recruiters appear in the search results.

Job Seeker Benefits

Job Search USA is focused on connecting employer and seeker by giving they seeker an immediate opportunity of sending their resume to a recruiter as soon as they add their resume on the site. Job Search USA has a massive number of jobs in their network. Seekers are sure to find a position of interest. They can breakdown their search by city, job type or both. If a job seeker does not see anything of interest. They can subscribe to the RSS/XML feed of the criteria they are interested in.

send resume directly

Another feature is the guide area. Seekers can interact with one another is a question and answer format. This particular section is organized by category so seekers can get answers to questions relative to their area of interest.

Lastly, one of them most important benefits of a being a job seeker on Job Search USA is your privacy is being respected. Your identifiable details can be hidden until you allow a potential employer to see them. This protects the active seeker from being discovered by a current employer.

Final Thoughts

I am thoroughly impressed with the simplicity of Job Search USA opposed to the other job search sites. When I was searching for my current job, I had resumes on the major sites and despised the effort it took to get my resume into their system and apply for jobs. I like that I’m not bombarded with blinking ads as well. I did grab the RSS feed for SEO jobs in the area just to keep an eye on any opportunities that may come up.
This site seems to have its focus in the right direction of serving the employer and the job seeker. I can see it becoming even larger force in the job search arena.
